A day-into-night class from the cobbled streets of Haworth where Emily Brönte wrote a favourite winter poem: The Night is Darkening Round Me. With photographer Éva Németh and Simply By Arrangement.
Spend the late morning appreciating the cobbled streets in the village of Haworth. Perhaps start at the top of the hill at the Brönte Parsonage museum and wander down through the shops, stopping to browse or for coffee before joining us at 1pm in the private upstairs room at the Old Post Office (www.hawortholdpostoffice.co.uk).
The main theme of the afternoon is to create natural winter arrangements to dress your home and also to learn how to capture those cosy winter moments on your camera or phone. We’ll be sustained by hot drinks – including something mulled – and sampling some traditional festive offerings from Hungary and Yorkshire.
The afternoon will conclude at 5pm with cocktails and a festive dinner, and we’ll leave for home when the cobbles are lit up and the scent of woodsmoke fills the air.
Guests can expect to take home a glorious natural wreath and to learn the art of taking evocative photographs in winter, as well as the science of mantel dressing.
Places limited to 10.
Price: £295
